Ticket Versions

Different versions are available depending on the departure area.
There are versions for adults and children.

Ticket Details

One ticket, valid for transportation within the designated areas.

Below are the front views of tickets from different purchase stations.

Issuance Period

General Keihan Railway version: April 1 to March 31 of the following year.
Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau version: April 1 to March 31 of the following year.

Validity Period

Valid only on the day of purchase.

Valid Areas

Mainly divided into free areas and round-trip areas.
Round-trip areas:
In this section (Fushimi Inari ~ Demachiyanagi, Chushojima ~ Nakanoshima, Chushojima ~ Yodoyabashi), you can only make one round trip.
One round trip means: you can board and alight once, and it must be at the same station.
Therefore, you can travel to the free area attractions in the morning, enjoy a full day, and then return to your departure station in the evening.

Free areas:
In this section (Fushimi Inari ~ Chushojima, Chushojima ~ Uji), you can board and alight freely, with no limit on the number of times.

Examples:
■ Yodoyabashi → Chushojima, Chushojima → Uji, Uji → Fushimi Inari, Fushimi Inari → Yodoyabashi O
■ Yodoyabashi → Chushojima, Chushojima → Uji, Uji → Fushimi Inari, Fushimi Inari → Gion-Shijo    X
(Gion-Shijo is not the departure station, so you need to pay extra for Fushimi Inari ~ Gion-Shijo)
Yodoyabashi → Hirakatashi    X (additional fare required)
Yodoyabashi → Gion-Shijo    X (additional fare required)
■ Gion-Shijo → Fushimi Inari, Fushimi Inari → Tofukuji △ (Tofukuji is not within the free area, the ticket becomes invalid after alighting)

Usage Instructions

Use the ticket like a regular train ticket, enter and exit through the automatic ticket gates.

Additional Information

1. This ticket cannot be used with fare adjustment machines. If you disembark outside the valid area, additional charges will apply.

2. You cannot get off midway during the round trip. Once you disembark, the ticket cannot be reused. The departure and return stations must be the same (the same station).
You cannot enter from Osaka and exit from Kyoto (except for the free area).

3. The refund handling fee is ¥300.

4. Common attraction discounts are as follows:
The Tale of Genji Museum, Ujigawa Sightseeing Boat: ¥100 off
BYODOIN, Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum: Small gift (postcard)
Teradaya: ¥40 off (¥400→¥360)
Mimurotoji, Manpukuji: Group ticket price
Fushimi jikkokubune Boat: 5% off the boat ride.
Ujigawa Sightseeing Boat: 10% off the boat ride.

5. How to choose between【Keihan Electric Railway】Kyoto Sightseeing 1 Day Pass or 【Keihan Electric Railway】Kyoto-Osaka Sightseeing 1Day Pass  Actually, no matter how you use it, the above two are more cost-effective.

6.Osaka City Transportation Bureau version, the usage range is roughly the same, but it includes the Osaka Metro area,so if you live in Osaka, you should buy this one. Detailed information is as follows,

■ Sales period: April 1st each year to March 31st of the following year
■ Usage period: Any one day within the sales period. (Can be purchased in advance and used on a selected day)
■ Price: ¥1300 (only adult version, no child version)
■ Usage range: Divided into free area and round-trip area.
Free areas:
1. All lines of Osaka Metro and Osaka City Bus (except buses to USJ and IKEA)
2. Keihan Electric Railway (Nakanoshima~Temmabashi, Yodoyabashi~Moriguchishi, Chushojima~Uji, Chushojima~Fushimi Inari)
Round-trip areas:
1. Keihan Electric Railway (Moriguchishi~Chushojima, no getting off midway)
2. Sales locations: Stationmaster’s offices at all Osaka Metro stations, City Transportation Information Centers (Shin-Osaka), Season Ticket Sales Offices (except Tenroku)

FAQs

Q1: I live near Kyoto Station and want to go to Fushimi Inari, Tofukuji, and Uji. Is this ticket suitable?
A1: Not suitable. Kyoto Station does not have Keihan Electric Railway. So you would need to spend extra money to travel to Tofukuji or Fushimi Inari.
Calculating the total fare, it exceeds the cost of directly buying a JR ticket, so it is recommended to just buy a ticket.
