The Kotohira Park Hotel is somewhat far from both Kotohira Station and the Kotohira-gū. Therefore, it is more suitable for tourists who are on a self-guided trip and prefer to travel by car.

However, right next to this hotel is a Lawson convenience store.

Right across from it, there’s a supermarket and a McDonald’s, so you don’t have to worry at all about what to eat!

Upon entering, the lobby is quite bright.

The dining area for breakfast is right next to the lobby.

On the counter, there’s Konpī-kun (Kotohira-kun), which seems to be the mascot of the Konpira Grand Theatre, right?

To make things convenient for travelers, they also sell udon noodles here. However, only udon from a certain brand is considered a must-have souvenir.

Table Decorations

At the elevator entrance, bicycles here can be rented for free.

There are free computers available on the first floor for use.

Forgot to take pictures of the hallway… Let’s go straight to the hotel rooms.

The lighting in the room is a bit dim, and the color is a light beige to avoid being too harsh on the eyes. However, the color scheme of the bedding feels quite outdated and unattractive. It gives off a vibe similar to that of an old hotel.

The situation on the table

Bedside

The phone on the bedside table, still a rotary one…. So retro!

They provided something for deodorizing, but I didn’t use it. Because we stayed in a smoking room, the smell was really strong. I just opened the window and kept it open until right before going to sleep, then I closed it.

The hotel also provides pajamas.

The bathroom is not much, but this hotel does provide a large public bath (8F). I suggest going there to soak because you can also see the entire plain outside… The view is pretty good~

Next, let’s take a look at the situation of breakfast dining.

This is a self-service area.

Let’s check out the breakfast~
In Kotohira, of course, you have to try the udon noodles~
The hotel breakfast even offers small servings of udon.
It’s really tasty~

A small bowl of oolong noodles, although provided by the hotel, is actually several times more delicious than many restaurants’ oolong noodles in Taiwan.

That’s a brief introduction to Kotohira Park Hotel~
Since Kotohira Park Hotel is located on Kotohira Street, transportation here is considered okay, with at least buses passing through~
However, apart from driving, I can’t think of a better way to get around~
Note: Kotohira Park Hotel underwent renovations in 2020, and this article describes the situation before those renovations.
