#DongShanLaoJiaKaFei Located in Dongshan District, Tainan, you need to traverse a mountain road to get there. The lady boss is extremely friendly, making you feel like you’re dining at your own home. The coffee chicken soup comes highly recommended online. Not sure if it’s because I drink coffee too often, but I found it to be just okay. 😂
But that bowl of soup is really brimming with caffeine, isn’t it? 🤔
But! I still managed to discover other delicious finds. 😂
Those who dare to indulge in fatty meat can try the Coffee Control Pork for $300.
This dish pairs well with rice, it’s a common homemade dish, and it’s photogenic too! 😂
The unique Wild Vegetable Coffee Salad is priced at $150. The salad on top is quite special, carrying a hint of coffee flavor. It’s distinctive, not overpowering, and refreshingly well-matched. Thumbs up!
The architecture is of traditional low-rise houses, which are likely their residences. It gives off a sense of a three-sided courtyard, with convenient parking. Nestled by the mountainside, it’s a place where you can relax, basking in the natural breeze. They even have their own coffee trees planted nearby!
⚠️ It’s recommended to make a reservation in advance if you plan to visit! There aren’t many seats, and it seems to be mostly frequented by regulars.

Every time I come to Asahikawa, I must eat at Daikokuya and Ichikura Ramen.
Daikokuya is truly delicious.
Ichikura, surprisingly, has also become a must-eat ramen spot for me every time I visit Asahikawa.
I still remember in 2012, driving from Sounkyo to Asahikawa just to have a bowl of Ichikura Ramen, and then driving back to Sounkyo to sleep.
