#TainanDelicacies
Last time I passed by Liuying, I noticed this place was packed with people, which inexplicably made it the next restaurant on my list to try – Liuying Dew Chicken. It’s crazy! They open at 10:30 and by around 11, there was already a considerable queue outside. It was a Sunday, and they don’t take reservations on holidays. Plus, there’s parking available nearby!

Seeing the last restaurant completely ban smoking, it reminded me of an interesting photo shared by a netizen online. The owner had posted a sign on the wall that read, “If someone smokes, the air conditioning gets turned off.” Quite a character, this owner! 😂
Back to the main topic, let’s talk about his food!
🐔White Cut Chicken (Half) $280
The taste is very juicy, and the meat is tender. This is a must-try👍.
🐔 Spicy Pepper Chicken Soup, Skinless $380
The soup has a slight kick to it, and a whole pot of meat is enough to feed a table of people!
🐔Green Vegetables $70 (Water Spinach)
🐔Vegetable Garden Egg $60
The egg is thick, there’s plenty of vegetables, but it’s not overly salty. It’s good enough to eat on its own too.👍
🐔Drunken Shrimp $250
It might seem a bit pricey, but this dish is quite unique. They’ve transformed the traditional drunken chicken into a drunken shrimp dish. The meat is tender and incredibly fresh. It’s definitely worth trying!
🐔 Eggplant Patties (8 pieces) $120
This dish comes highly recommended online, but in my opinion, it’s a bit of a letdown. 😂
Crispy Chicken Ribs $100
Some people always say “pork ribs” in Taiwanese Mandarin, which cracks me up 😂 (off-topic)
🐔Steamed Fish $250
The fish is very fresh, the meat is very tender 🐟.

Yu Cuisine Bar – An Affordable Gourmet Restaurant Originating from Zhubei, Hsinchu
Now, we’ve also opened a store near the mega city~~~~~
This time, I visited the Central branch, which doesn’t look like a snack shop at all from the entrance.
Upon entering, you’ll find plenty of seating. The decor is bright and features a light industrial style, creating an overall comfortable atmosphere.

The side dishes section offers both refrigerated and room temperature options, all of which are self-serve.
Additionally, there is a sauce station available for self-service.
I highly recommend their Tiger Mom Chili Sauce. It has a pungent, spicy aroma that is incredibly flavorful.
Other main dishes include noodles, rice, and dumplings, among others.

[Kyoto] Kamogawa River Noryo Yuka – Amore Kiyamachi

This Amore Kiyamachi is located next to the famous Kamogawa River. During the summer, like other restaurants, they set up elevated platforms to create a cool spot by the river. This was my first time experiencing the Kamogawa River Noryo Yuka, and it’s a bit different from the Kibune Kawadoko Nagashi Somen experience. Both are unique summer scenes. If you have the opportunity, I recommend giving it a try. Although Kyoto is hot in the summer, it’s quite cool in the evening with the natural breeze.
