Today, I’m going to introduce a must-visit French dessert café in Luodong, a place that’s been on my bucket list for over a year. By a stroke of luck, I stumbled upon this café, conveniently located on Tianjin Road, near the famous Lin Chang Starchy Meat Soup.
The shop’s location is truly hard to spot, as it’s nestled within a residential area, making it easy to overlook its presence.
And I, on that day, chose the small streets to avoid the main road, and thus discovered true love. The arcade was filled with motorcycles that day, and inside, there was joy akin to a party.
The place was packed with people, it turns out it was Green Feather Coffee’s first anniversary. As soon as I walked in, despite the place being almost full, the owner still noticed my entrance and warmly greeted me!
It made me feel incredibly welcomed right off the bat.

The successive grey-green walls exude an indescribable charm, followed by the dazzling dessert display, which completely captivates my attention.
The excitement within me was overwhelming, yet I dared not exclaim aloud. This wasn’t my first visit to Green Feather Coffee. Every time I come, the dessert offerings never fail to amaze me.
Regardless of personal taste preferences, everyone has different levels of fondness for flavors. However, just from the exquisite craftsmanship and the style of the desserts, one cannot help but admire the shop’s dedication and creativity in making desserts.
Out of curiosity, I asked the owner how many desserts they had created so far. The owner said they weren’t sure, but there might be around fifty to sixty types~~!!
As someone who only visits Yilan infrequently, I naturally wanted to try everything. So, my companions and I decided to order one of each dish.
What particularly struck me was the dessert made from pears and the red guava. I never imagined that fruits could be transformed into such French-style desserts.
Of course, the blueberry tart and the green crystal tart are simply divine. The layered textures combined with fresh fruits and a light, flaky tart base are beyond delicious.
I genuinely believe that the desserts at Green Feather Coffee are not overly sweet. They allow each dessert to showcase its unique flavor, preserving the original taste of the ingredients, complemented by the smooth and aromatic coffee.
Every bite is filled with a sense of joy, perhaps this is the feeling the owner wants to impart to every guest who visits the shop~!
Next up is coffee. If you come to Green Feather and don’t order a cup of hand-poured coffee, then you’ve truly missed out. Open the menu, and you’ll find it brimming with specialty coffees.
No matter what flavor you’re after or if you’re unsure about what you like, the owner will carefully explain the taste of each coffee for you.
Guiding you to find your own favorites, as a beginner in hand-brewed coffee, my experience at Green Feather has deepened my understanding of the flavors of coffee and the changes in its layers at different temperatures.
A sip of coffee, a bite of cake, it’s truly perfection.
I am grateful for the experience this establishment has given me. It’s a place that leaves a lasting impression, one that you’ll find yourself reminiscing about. I believe it’s not just the dedication they put into their products, but also the warmth and enthusiasm of the owner that truly touched me.
I hope that the shop continues to shine and thrive, consistently bringing us more delicious desserts and coffee.

Akafuku is already one of the most representative desserts in Mie Prefecture, especially near Ise. You can see advertisements and signs everywhere. And now, they even have stores at Kansai Airport and Chubu Centrair International Airport. Moreover, convenience stores at Kyoto Station’s Hachijoguchi exit also sell them. It’s really amazing!
